Within its responsibilities for raising awareness among data controllers and processors regarding data protection legislation, the Data Protection Authority has launched the implementation of a new project entitled “Driven by risk: Fostering data protection risk assessment for SMEs and raising risk awareness among the general public - byRisk” (https://byrisk-project.eu/).
- The first main objective of the byRisk project is to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in effectively identifying and analyzing all data protection risks arising from their data processing activities.
- The second objective is to raise awareness among the general public about the aforementioned risks.
The first newsletter of the byRisk project briefly presents the initial steps taken at the start of the activities, as well as key findings from a survey conducted to record and understand the needs of SMEs regarding risk assessment in the field of data protection.
